4 weeks ago today I took the 2008 Eos to the dealership because the transmision was acting up. Jerking when applying on the gas pedal when moving from a stop position.
Was told it was the flywheel and they would have to order one. Next day I get a call to tell me that the part is "back order". They finally received it last week only to discover that it was not the problem. Now they will order a megatronics unit (the main brain of the transmission). They still don't know how long it will take to get the part as none is available in North America. They have had me use a rental (non convertible) car for 4 weeks. Yesterday I asked for a convertible as the forecast is for a sunny and warmer week-end. They said they would look into it. They also said that would talk to VW Head Office to try to refund me for the cost of the lease on the EOS for one month. Still waiting on that one too.
I love the car but I'm not impressed with this thing with parts not being available in a reasonable time frame.
Anyone else running into this type of situation with VW? What did you ask for compensation? Any luck with your request? What would you do?
