Your link doesnt work for me dude. There are lots of suggestions re which units. What is your budget?

Nearly, I fitted the Zenec NC2010 about 8 weeks ago, it also comes with Parrott blue tooth, build in SD card reader and USB connector, sadly everything you seek except the TV, but via the USB I feel it would be interesting to see if one of the USB TV adaptors works.

Its similar to the unit I have.

I looked for a while and found someone in Melbourne who was importing and on selling them. Although he was probably AU$200 more then I would have paid if buying myself off ebay (or importing them myself - if you search thoroughly enough on Google you will find 5-6 resellers in Hong Kong or China) he had researched them, found the most reliable ones and sold them with a warranty.

The catch with buying these things ex Hong Kong is that they run on windows CE and can be quite buggy - likely to have funny things go wrong with them - and although the seller may fix them, it is usually at your cost to get them to Hong Kong and back to get fixed.

Mine needed a firmware fix after I got it, and the local guy was great - if you lived in Melbourne - I would recommend him to you, but since you are in England the above comment re shipping probably still applies.

Compared with the cost of the VW units, these things are great value - but only if they work first time out of the box.

In Dash Looks OEM Rosen VW0710-m11

Purchased this unit off of eBay. Looks and sounds like a dream. Rosen sells saying it's XM compatible. It is they just don't support XM now they have switched to Sirius. I found all the works to complete to XM on Amazon, a company called Lesco Distributing. All steering column functions work and is also Bluetooth on top of DVD and TV.:)

Yes I bought excactly the same one. Absolute doddle to install. The TV aerial cuased me an issue and reception was terrible so never bothered with the TV, but great wathcing DVD's whilst driving...

The USB extenstion is great if you have a few Gb USB stick with movies etc...
The SD card slot is for the maps and TomTom and all windows CE versions work fine...

If you need any more help let me know

What a great idea - watching DVD's whilst you're driving!
Let us know where you are situated and I'll make doubly sure I avoid any roads you might possibly be anywhere near...

i had installed this OEM unit recently, purchased from China, displays "traditional Chinese characters" too

So where do you get it then?

I might buy one! How does it compare to the Zenec?
I just found this unit at Crutchfield.com, and I came on the forum to see if anyone had any experience with it.....they are selling it for $1499US which is pricey, but if it does everything it says, than I think it's worth it......Anyone have anymore experience with it to share??? Thanks as always!
Any one know of an in dash navigation that will connect straight to the factory connections for my current radio? I have the 6 disk CD changer. I bought one off of ebay but after reading about how to install it, it seems like too much for me and I cannot afford to pay someone to install it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did the one you bought off of ebay come with step by step instructions?

You know, put one foot in front of the other, one foot at a time:)

What makes it too difficult for you to tackle?

It did not come with instructions. I have never dealt with anything other than your standard aftermarket stereo and I have no idea what I am doing. I want something that will just plug and go.
