Hello all,

Well our 2008 Eos is back in at the dealers this morning for a couple of faults it's developed over the last month. Looking to see if anyone else has had these issues.

1. The car is occasionally flashing a warning that we are driving too fast with the roof down. The 3 times it has done this has been whilst in town doing less than 30km/hr!

2. Annoying vibration/rattle on idle from the engine bay when the car is up to temperature.

It's also getting a quote to fix a dent in the drivers door just behind the handle where my wife lost hold of the door parked on a steep slope and the door whacked a wall. She did that whilst I was offshore and never told me till I got home. By then she had been into the dealers to get it pulled out as much as possible so it doesn't look too bad but I still want it perfect again. Her words when she walked into the dealers were 'you have to save my marriage'. :D

I think my wife had the same feeling when we hit a deer this past holiday season. After it happened I was really quiet and angry. Since the deer lived and hopped away after it ran into the side, she thought I was going to turn around and run it over just to feel better.

(can't say the thought didn't pass through my mind)

It is, after all, just a car, right?....right?

Guys you are not making me feel any easier.

I have just started to let my wife drive the EOS to work as I work from home. I am now searching the internet like mad for something to stop me bitting through my fingers as have run out of nails and it has only been 2 days.

Just to redress the balance! ;)

My husband used my car for work and on his return I asked him how was the EOS? His reply "it surprised me how fast it went from 100-125 mph!" My response " Are you winding me up!!!"

He claimed it was research for his job (he's a racing instructor!) but needless to say thats the last time I leave my keys around. :)

Well the dealer couldn't find the fault with the warning of driving too fast with the roof down, and judging by the fact the heated seats were set at full they had been out trying it on the road. It's not getting above 0 degC here just now.:D Got to drive it straight round to them if it comes back on.

Fixed the vibration though so that was good.

Did the dealer report what was causing the vibration. What was the nature of the vibration?
