At what points in your roof operation do you get the chime?. I only hear mine at the start of the process, but watching some vids on you tube, I am sure that I have heard the chime at the end of the roof operation.
I am totally gobsmacked my drivers window is still intact, if I release my seatbelt and not guide it back, it catapults the window with great force.
Mats,at the moment I have the beige carpet mats, but with winter approaching I will need to get some rubber mats, I see that in the US they have heavy duty monster mats, does anyone know if these or something equivalent is available here?
Has anyone come acrosss a nice looking Eos tax disc holder? I have still got the dealers plastic one and it dont look good lol

Mine dings when the roof operation is complete just before the windows come back up. It doesn't ding at the beginning.

Re the seatbelt - I've just got used to keeping hold of it - second nature now!

Hi,

The roof does chime when it completes it's motion (Full open or Full close - Excluding windows).

It will only chime throughout if there is a need for a safety warning, for example if you start to creep forward as the process is in motion.

I will look into this further if you want, but I think that's the gist!

I only get the chime at the end of the lowering/raising operation, just before the windows go back up (which means you can drive off and complete the operation on the move it you want the windows back up).

Hi Denny,

I use the VW rubber EOS mats in the front. Just replace your nice beige carpet mats with the rubber ones. 20 odd quid, but they do fit very well and save your carpets from the grime that no doubt we are about to get for the next 6 months !, judging by the change in the weather today.

Regards,

Ian

Dare I ask a question .... is there a difference between a male and a female EOS. One chimes at the beginning and the other chimes at the end?

Is yours a 2007 or 2008 EOS? I only have the docs for the 2006 and 2007 EOSs!

You can find out from the VIN... If it is 2007 middle will be something like Z1FZ7Z0 For 2008 would be Z1FZ8Z0.

FYI "Z" in the VIN are just Filler Numbers... Maybe I'll do a new thread for people who are interested!
