Hello, I have a rcd-300 that can play mp3, I created a folder on a blank cd-r disk and saved about 120 mp3 files in it, but when I inserted it into the RCD 300 it said Cd-error,

Why did this happen, should the number of mp3 files in a folder not exceed 99?

mp3s were encoded in vbr 192 kbps

This is the inside of the CD;

What could be the problem please help

Thanks

Most OE car units need a basic Joliet CD burned format on the disc and will only recognise files in root (\), not in a folder. Some only recognise 128kb coded streams. It's a nuisance because the system is a basic MP3 reader and won't recognise (Windows) folders. Try burning a test CD with a few MP3 tunes in root and experiment with coding bit rates 64 to 256kb ? An Android head unit will recognise folders, all the common coding structures and you can use an Android playlist App. to structure your tunes. I think the RCD should play 256kb VB, bit if it only does 128kb you will have to down sample or rip at the lower rate.
