Hi Everyone,

All being well, my missus (Kaz) and I are shortly to be ordering a 2.0 TFSI Eos. But we (well actually it's just me) have a few questions.....

1) Is the Dynaudio 10 speaker system with the 6 CD changer worth shelling out £945 for? I used to have the BOSE system in my TT Roadster which sounded great but didn't go up that loud.

2) Does anybody have the Xenons that go around corners? If so, what are they like?

3) Chipping. Our SEAT Leon Cupra R was chipped to 270 bhp by REVO which was awsome. Has anybody here chipped their EOS?

4) Which colour to order... We have decided upon black but there are 2 blacks, one solid and one pearl. Our Leon Cupra R was a solid colour. We would probably go for the cream vienna leather.

5) Wind deflector. We will almost always have our 2 kids in the back of the car so the optional wind deflector that takes up the rear seats will not be suitable for us. Does anybody know of a wind deflector (such as the one on the old Mercedes SLK which was a bit of mesh material that stretched over the head restraints) that may work behind the EOS's rear seats?

Dynoaudio is totally worth it... it gets as loud as hell and will rattle your insides.

Seeing around the corners

I was fortunate enough to drive a Skoda Roomster which was equipped with steering-actuated sideways lighting when I was in the french Alps for three weeks last summer. During my frequent drives up the tortuous mountain roads at night I came to value it highly - it was surprisingly effective in that situation where loads of hairpin bends were involved. However, for regular driving in the UK I do not think that I would get anything like the use out of it to justify the rather high additional cost. If I lived in the Alps - yes for certain!

Hi Gavin,

I have the Dynaudio and the adaptive Xenon headlights. The sound system is excellent. The quality of the sound is superbly clear, not just a sub-woofer kicking out bass.

Regarding the headlights, I thought the adaptive cornering lights were a bit of a gimmick when I ordered the car. I wanted Xenons, as I have standard Xenons on my other car. When I picked up the EOS and drove it on the first night, I was amazed at how useful the adaptive feature as proved to be. Having an auxilary light that comes on when you are turning sharp, ie. junctions, lights up all of the curb so that you don't damage your expensive alloys.

When I drove my other car at night recently, I was somewhat missing my adaptive feature on the EOS.

So my recommendation is :-
1. If you like your music loud and clear, get the Dynaudio.
2. If you do much night driving then the Bi-Xenon adaptive lights really are worth the money. They are the best lights on any car that I've had.

Whatever you get, I hope you love the car as much as I do.
