Hello everyone,

I should introduce myself, my name is Kimber and I live in CT. Just a few random questions for anyone who would like to help me out. Has anyone found a place to buy things like bras and other cosmetic accessories? Also does anyone know if they have come out with the remote starter for it yet? I know they didn't have the components in early spring.
So far I love my car, with the exception of a minor leaking problem at the drivers side pylon and the dent that some idiot put in my door in the parking lot. But as my son so politely put it "Mom it's just a car". Yeah that didn't go over well with me.

Hi Kimber . . .
Many reccommend OEMPLUS: http://oempl.us/

VW now has an EOS brochure in PDF format -- you can download it here:
http://www.drivergear.vw.com/default.cfm?fuse=productSearch&user_category=EOS&brand=VW
Some prices are not listed. I got prices from my dealer's parts department. The bra was about $115.
I found a source for the catalogue items on line: http://volkswagenpartspeople.com/

Here's two things to protect from dings in and out of your garage:
BANGard: http://www.diamondlifegear.com/bgwall.html -- lowest price I found
DoorDefender: http://www.doordefender.com/buyonline.html
It is way less to order from this CA company, but they only carry it in black: http://www.calcarcover.com/product.aspx?id=1746&cid=

I know you will get more suggestions from the members here!

Happy shopping!!!

Thanks

THe only bras I could find were clear. I was looking for a black one. I should probably call the dealer but they are so expensive. Thanks for all your suggestions, they are much appreciated.

Don't do it! The black "leather" bras that you fit onto cars are really really bad for the car's paint. I had one of the "made to fit" bras on one of my other cars, and the little clips and straps that held it in place rubbed the paint right off in places just from "wiggling" a tiny bit during travel.

Worse than that, when I took the bra off to clean the car after about 2 weeks of use, there were micro-scratches all over the hood from where dirt managed to get under the bra and embed in the felt backing. As i drove the car and the bra shifted, it acted like sandpaper and scraped and scratched the paint.

I'll never use one of those "made to fit" bras for a front bumper again. Worst money I've spent on a car accessory EVER. <sigh> The repaint cost added to the bra cost was just not a happy thing.

The new clear bras that actually stick onto the paint are far better because you don't get any abrasives between it and the paint. Nor does it move at all to cause wear in the paint. When installed professionally, they are exceptional protection for the car. Yes, they are more expensive, but, they are FAR less expensive than the combined cost of a proper paint job that will go along with any "clip on" bra.

I really hope I caught you in time. :)
