Seeing as so many of our cohorts are expecting delivery of their brand spanking new shiny eos (eosi? has anyone determined a plural?), I thought this would be a fun thing to do.

For those with their Eos, what was the very first thing your did for/to/with your car?

My answer: I made a hat to match the colors of the car and waited for the rain to stop.

The hat is to protect my growth-challenged follicles

I went out and bought a journal to keep track of all the fun things my Eos and I do together. Whee! Lets reset all the radio stations again! Whee!

I bought a cap in matching colours (grey/black) the week after I ordered it.
When it arrived 7 months later, I bought some micro-fibre cleaning cloths and then ordered and installed a non-VW iPod adaptor.

MarkAlan, somewhere on the forum there is a section discussing the plural of EOS but I don't recollect us ever deciding on what it should be.
First thing I did was buy the required cleaning cloth. 2nd thing take photo's.
The wife had already bought me the little EOS model in my clours, and the EOS keyring, whilst I waited for delivery of the car. She tried to buy the matching baseball cap, but sadly they had stopped making them!

The car got delivered on a Monday night, unable to drive it as the Insurance company had forgotten to email me a cover note, (tip: never drive in Spain without insurance documents, its an offence regardless if your covered or not)

went to NYC via London on the Tuesday morning(without driving the car:mad: ),

Bought the coolest shades I could find in Manhattan, bought a stylish cap in New Jersey

and kept going on and on and on to my wife "how cool im going to look driving her car...heheheheheh..

so,

Got home and the misses pulled a fast one and jumped in the drivers seat!!!

Started to rain, didn't wear the sun glasses, didn't wear the cap, didn't put the top down .......and didn't drive the car untill it had run out of petrol and I had to pay to fill it up!!

Advice: never antisipate the weather, never brag how cool your going to look in your partners car, and never get married twice........

We also have a phrase for that: you snooze, you lose!!
We have the same thing here about having insurance and still needing to have the insurance card WITH you. Also it is the husband's or boy friend's job to put in the fuel.:D

I suggest you check http://www.askmid.com/ to ensure your insurance details have been placed on the insurance database. I do carry a copy of my insurance details with me in case I need to give them to another motorist in the event of an accident.

My husband and kids bought me a product red ipod and product red bluetooth headset to go with my paprika red Eos. Bless! I got myself some large sunglasses for when the top is down! Not just for vanity but to keep the sun from coming down into my eyes!

Sun glasses are my passion, have spare pairs everywhere! I need them even in winter if its bright.
We will have to start thinking of a good 'meet' place soon, there seems to be quite a few EOS owners up this way now!
