This is my very first post. I am absolutely delighted that I have finally bought my (first) Eos. Ever since I was a kid, I loved this car. I bought the 200hp 2008. TSI highline (2009 edition) dsg automatic.
There's only one problem, all the large bass speakers are not functioning at all. There's no crackling sounds, it's just silent. When reading out the car, the error message is 'circuit broken' for all 4 the bass loudspeakers. I thought this would be an amp issue, but the 6 other smaller speakers do have sound (only high tones I guess).
My mechanic says the speakers are broken, because when he connected a speaker that he had lying around, the sound did work. He's a very cool guy, so he's allowing me to buy my own parts for him to install.
Therefore, I need help with the following:
- I would like to refit the 4 broken bass speakers with good quality ones. Maybe the Dynaudio package? Only, I have no idea what these sizes are. Does anyone have a link for me that entails the proper speakers (front and back) to replace the current broken ones? I have been looking around in this forum and the rest of the web in order to make sense of it all, but I can't filter through all the information. (An EAN for the parts would be even better).
- Does anyone know which exact audio system can be placed in the EOS, that has apple Carplay and bluetooth etc? An audio specialist who listened at the sound told me that the only problem seems to be that the current system isn't stock and that the speakers are fine. In my honest opinion, I think he's just trying to sell me a 1200 Euro system that I can buy for 300/500 myself. I also trust my mechanic. If it was the system, it wouldn't be possible for the mechanic to just plug in another speaker for it to work (right?). Anyway, I've added some pictures to show you my current specs.

The RCD360 is an easy plug and play solution if you want to upgrade your factory radio to something with CarPlay/Android Auto. Personally, I did not like its lack of features, power output, sound quality and lack of DSP and lack of subwoofer outputs. That is why I went with an aftermarket head unit.Wow! You really have a lot of video's, amazing.
Considering the audio systems you connected, which one worked the best for you? Also, I read some things in the comments about issues with the climate controls on after installing the Pioneer system. Does this refer to only the issue that you can't control the airco etc through the system itself? Or is it referring to actual issues with the stock climate control?
Also, if I understand from your infinity kappa replacement videos, the front speakers are these and the back speakers are these, correct?

The Idatalink Maestro is designed to fit many different vehicles and you need to program it to your vehicle. What I mentioned in that video was the fact that the Idatalink Maestro gave me the impression that I would be able to access climate control via the headunit, same for TPMS. The problem is on a 2008, the TPMS system is dumb, it does not know which tire is low, on newer models, it pulls the data from the ABS unit, so the information is available via the CanBus, so Idatalink Maestro would be able to access the data on these newer vehicles. Same issue with the climate control system, the Idatalink Maestro can only access this information on newer models. None of these was made clear in the owners manual for the unit. It's not an issue with the unit, just the owners manual.
The links you provided do show the Infinity Kappas I used. You can use those sizes for reference, if you want to spend more money, there are other options. I found the Infinity Kappas (for the money) are excellent sounding component speakers and since I have used them in several of my cars, I know what they sound like, so its an easy choice for me.
