After almost a year I have just discovered the little draw/storage thing under the steering wheel, exactly where my sunglasses should be living! How the dickens did I miss that?!

Am now wondering what other little things I've missed!!

Well done - I must admit it took me 18 months to find the extra storage to the right of the steering wheel in my Golf!! Nothing under my steering wheel in the EOS - did you mean to the right of the steering wheel?! Who cares anyway - great car!!!

Yeah, its to the right of the steering wheel, I just cant believe I never really noticed it before! When I got the car I said something in jest to the sales assistant about where to put my sunglasses and she said on the passenger seat! Also when asked about the loops on the seats (for the seat belt), she thought it was somewhere to clip your handbag!

For nail polish, I think OPI midnight in park - or whatever its called matches my car nicely!

I keep my mobile phone charger lead in that compartment! Coils up perfectly in there!

I found that compartment early on and decided to stash some rather delicious Rhubard and Custard sweets in there. I then seem to have completely forgotten all about them.

They've been in there, untouched, for 3 months.

Apparently this is only a UK storage area as I inverted myself, slid under the wheel and found nothing but the release for the steering column. Darn.

Apparently that storage compartment is removed for US versions to comply with safety regs. We get the compartment here in Australia like Europe.

There's an aftermarket kit available that allows you to add in the compartment but you have to remove some bracing behind the panel to do it.

Correct you are sir ... available from oempl.us. Canadian version includes the compartment, but I certainly won't use it like jamcar!

VW Sell nail varnish the exact same colour as your car (touch up stick!)... You also get a free laquer with it!!

Chemically, it probably isn't dissimmilar to nail varnish, so you should try some!
