So I bought a used VW EOS 2007. It's in pretty good condition except for a check engine light, and airbag fault light, a pillar leak, and a cracked windshield.

So after digging around a bit on here, I found that the clockspring is the most likely culprit for the airbag fault light. However, the car has ESP which, from what I've read, is also reliant on the clockspring. However, the ESP is working fine. It's just the airbag fault that's showing up.

Any help would be appreciate, thank you!

Your airbag issue could be a flaky/bad wirirg harness under the seats. I had that issue on mine. Check engine light could be many things from minor to major. You need to get a fault code readout to see what could be bad.
