Hi all well our lovely Eos would set the alarm off as the temp would get to zero or below for about 20 to 45 mins in this cold spell we had. So asked my dealer and they going to look at the car on 20 Dec. They think it could be the microwave detection unit?????????????

No leaks cos i got a top cover on good it is till it get windy then take it off:eek:  ;)

Has this happened to your Eos.

Is the alarm going off when you have the top cover on or off. If it is going off when the cover is on, could the cover be causing enough movement to set the alarm off??? If it is going off when you do not have the cover on it is simple, she is cold and screaming for her blanky:D

Hi All turns out that a TP has been put out on the Eos alarm system which changes the alarm sensor module under the rear seat. If the alarm goes off for no reason the unit is out of calibration and is changed for the updated one

Excuse me for asking, but what's a top cover? The roof? And what alarm are we talking about here?

Maybe this is a non US issue.

For want of a better description its a half car cover which only goes over the top half, very common and can be poicked up quite easily. They usually have elasticated ties which simply hook over the bumpers and/or slip under the front/rear valances.

Have a look at the thread "Ice" in the Q&A section. I posted a picture there of the one I have some time back and the details of where I got mine from.

As Redimps has mentioned you do need to look closely at what is advertised, most are just water resistance, you may pay a little more, but there are waterproof ones out there to buy also
