Hi Gazzer,

I had a problem with this in the first few weeks and it turned out that I hadn't closed the bonnet all the way - it had caught but could put my fingers under and raise it a bit.

Now I always make sure to give it a little bit of a shove to make sure it catches all the way. Might not be the cause of your problem but worth checking.

Cheers,
Si

You could try disabling the internal sensor (button under driver's armrest) which might provide some information on whether it's that or, errr, something else !

Guys, just read one of the threads about the alarm going off without no apparent reason.
Someone mentioned that the internal sensor was set to high and they then adjusted it.
Question - Is tis something the dealer has to adjust or is this something that I can do. Just dont want to go into the dealer and make myself look stupid if there is a simple little adjuster hidden somewhere.
Thanks
S
