I want to go the other way. I don't have an alarm, but I would like a noise of some sort, so I know the car is locked as I walk away - much better than a flash of the indicators.

I am new here and I just bought a '08 Eos Lux and I will like to ask if anybody knows how to silence the chirp sound when you activate the anti- theft alarm with the remote. Is really anoying. I look in the manual and could not find anything. Any help will be apprecaited.

The beep you hear can be deactivated. Check your O/M booklet 3.1. Look for the section on convenience menu ATA confirm and it will tell you how to turn it off. As for geoffa1, it may help you turn it on. It may have been turned off if it violates local noise ordinances.Hello
