Hi All,

Well after months of humming and harring I took the plunge today and ordered my Eos. I was going to get a diesel but after driving the TFSI I felt I had to have the petrol as it was so sweet and quiet (despite the inferior mpg).
I was going to order it via the internet where I had found a £1500 discount and had decided to order it today.

Came back from work early and as I was passing a garage near where I live a black Eos pulled out on me which I regarded as a sign (as they are still quite rare round here) that I was doing the right thing.

To my amazement when I got home my local dealer who I hadn’t heard from for over three months rang me to ask if I was still interested in an Eos, uncanny timing or what! I Explained I was buying one from the internet and there followed an afternoon of frantic telephone calls back and fro as they tried to match the discount. We eventually ended up with a £1400 discount.

So the deed is done and delivery is some time in late May. Bog standard Black Eos Sport TFSI with luxury and winter packs and 6CD changer.

Boo Hoo, three months to wait, by the time I get it you lot will have been forced to sell yours by the increasingly eco friendly governments and be driving round in Toyota Priuses!

Oh well, see you on the Prius forum!

Cheers, David

Thanks Folks, looking forward to the day!

Dealer tells me that black and silver are the most popular colours for VWs with black now taking the lead! :)

Black is Nice, but . . .

Hi Folks!

When I ordered my EOS last summer Black on Black was actually my first choice, although I told the dealer it was my second.

After several weeks of pretty tense exchanges between me and the dealer (all the black modesl they were finding would get sold before they could deliver one to me), I finally "settled" for a Paprika Red with Black interior.

The car has really grown on me. LEgOlaS really stands out against the red finishes of other cars! So not only do I get lots of admiring glances and comments about the car, but about the color as well. And so far as I can tell, I have the only Paprika Red one tooling around the streets of Atlanta.

Still, I suspect when I pick up my next EOS, I'll probably go for Black.

Hi all, I agree with Tolkien. My red Eos definately gets lots of admiring looks and I have to say of the few other Eoses ive seen, I think i picked the best colour.

Funny how all the people with red Eos think red is the best colour!

Eismeer Blue is Best

I have seen far too many blahhh silver and black cars now...every second car in fact. Once you have something unique like my blue beauty well people talk. Let it be known from far and wide that BLUE is the most desirable colour in gems. In fact, 50% of the world adore blue (such as sapphires) so a unique metallic blue car can't be off the mark. Can it?

Mine is silver but must say I would rather have had a nice metallic blue one. Trouble was, I wanted the red Nappa interior and you can't get it with blue, although can't for the life of me think why not. I've seen other dark met blue cars with a red interior and it goes beautifully!

There's a picture in the current issue of Evo magazine (I think I've got the right one) of a convertible Aston in what is very close to Leonie (Eismeer) Blue with a red leather interior and it looks terrific. VW please take note!

I must say that midnight blue is the best colour - more depth than the black :D

Here in the uk, the vast majority of the eos's I have seen are Silver, 1 black (and i've seen less than 5 in all my drives around the uk!).

Every colour has its supporters!
Really it's all down to personal taste - that's why they offer a range.
It's impossible to say that any colour is 'better' than any other!
I do like the red leather tho. Still think black is a better colour leather for me practicality wise, but the red REALLY sets it off in your silver car!
I've a friend who does leather re-upholstering on lear jets. He's dying to redo mine and use it for his advertising portfolio. So tempting!!

Know what you mean but leather is so easy to clean anyway that red or black doesn't really make much difference from a practicality point of view. Actually it's the first time I've had leather in any colour apart from black and am very pleased indeed with it - it doesn't get dirty at all! And it looks so good!
