2008 Turbo, with heated seats, Manual Transmission.
Well after much deliberation over color we actually got the Paprika Red one!! I'll explain the process. After looking at the colors online we decided to get the Thunder Blue. But after seeing it in person we were left wanting... it was just too dark. My wife loved the Eismer Blue and I think it looks great but just too feminine. Then we decided that we absolutely wanted the Beige interior considering we're in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We then decided on a compromise. Silver exterior with Beige interior, one small problem with this choice... it does not exists! After this news I was quite disappointed. I even told my wife we would get the Eismer blue one but she said no.
One more problem, the 2008 model year is wrapping up and there was not a lot of Manual Turbo's out there, or even Komforts for that matter. The only option we wanted was the Ipod adaptor. We searched and searched (well the manager at the VW dealership did) to no avail. So finally we said ok, we want the Manual Transmission, we want the Beige interior, what is out there in the Turbo or Komfort that meets that criteria? Alas!, there was a Paprika Red that met these conditions with Heated seats but no Ipod that was still on the boat and earmarked for another dealer. We jumped on it, especially after hearing rumors that the Turbo would be dropped for 2009 (which it has).
We both thought the red/beige combo looked great, we just passed on it initially because it was... red.
Well it showed up at the dealer on the 24th and we got it on the 25th. We love it, the kids love it, the neighbors love it. And the dog and 2 cats better hate it because they are not allowed in it!!
