I searched forum and found not a single hit on VR6? I'm considering leasing one (haven't been to dealership yet), and have checked them out on the VW site, but came here looking for opinions on the 3.2L V-6 vs. the 2.0T.

I'm surprised how few Americans are evident in the club. Am I going to have a hard time finding an EOS here (Long Beach, CA)?

I'm also thinking about Volvo C70, but it's a big price jump.

Thanks!

When I bought my Eos, the dealer had about 10 2.0T's and only one 3.2 in a color I wouldn't consider (black.) Hey, I just don't like black cars. IF he had one in eismeer blue, I certainly would have considered it since the gas mileage wasn't that much different and I'm not a big fan of turbo cars.

Having said that, I'm very happy with my 2.0T.

Thanks for the info. I went ahead and got the 2.0T in Lux trim. That was what they had on the lot (brought ours from another though, to get the Eismeer Blue of course!), and after driving it, I decided I don't need the extra 50 HP.

Brought it home Saturday and am loving it. I know what you mean about turbo's I've had a supercharged Pontiac for the last 9 years, and prefer belt-driven boost. The lag hasn't taken long to get used to though.

It was the first time my wife had driven a turbo car, and she proceeded to keep pushing down the accelerator not knowing the beast was spooling up, and gave the tires a good scrub pulling out of the lot on the test drive. Salesman just laughed.

Now I just need to get over my new car paranoia while driving so I can truly enjoy it!
