I pick up my new Eos tomorrow and was thinking of getting the two Bentley Self Study manuals on the car itself and the electrics.

I guess I'm one of those nerdy types that likes to understand how the car works - my electronic engineering background I guess.

Has any one got these and can pass an opinion on their value? I'm just looking for them to give me an idea of how the car works, not use them as a repair manual.

The links to them are here..

Thanks in advance.

David,
It might be an idea that you talk to Simon (SIJ2000) He like you thrives on all the technical data, and if I understand correctly he is in ownership of authentic VW Eos manuals.

Hi,

Those are probably the same as what you can get online through the VW dealer extranet:

https://erwin.volkswagen.de

If you sign up to that site, you can get most of this information which you can print out. I think the prices are slightly cheaper than the Bentley printed manuals....

FYI, The decoding tool they use to lock the documents doesn't work on Vista, but work OK on XP and 2003 Server.

This site allows you to print the docs, although it watermarks them with your login name so you can't give them out! (clever!)
