Auto dimming mirrors - when does yours come on?

In my old car I had the Auto dimming mirrors as I have in my Eos. But back then, the mirror only turned "green" when someone was 'blinding' me from behind.

In my Eos, it turns on every time it is dark. Like in the garage and no one behind to shine any lights at me. Then the mirror turns "greenish". Is this normal?
My dealer says that no errors on the computer, hence this is normal, but then it is not auto-dimming, then it is just dark-dimming?

Hi Harin,

Ours only turns green if there is another car with its lights on behind. Once the car has gone it turns back to normal.
