........ even when its daylight outside??

Normally when I plip the car open, if its daylight then obviously they dont switch straight on as they do at night (i.e. come home, leave home function) however recently as soon as I start the engine they do come on in daylight?

I dont think its the sensor as it still nows when its dark and puts the come home leave home function to use, it just leaves then on in the day aswell??

I believe the light sensor is fitted in the rear view mirror casing, so is the windscreen clean in front of it ?? have you tried to fool the sensor with a bright light ?? My experience is that they switch on well before I would have selected them on manually at dusk
I have these auto lights on my A3 and they are ordered for my Eos, they make being senseable so easy if you believe in see and be seen. My wife loves the secure feeling of the at home function, worth every penny spent.

Hope this helps

You can see the sensor its at the top of the screen when looking from outside. It can be affected by car wash wax & dirt. Clean the glass with some glass cleaner. If that doesn't work it may be faulty.
I'm very pleased with both the auto lights. I go through a tunnel everyday it works a treat.
The Auto-wipe is also good in my mind. I didn't pay for mine they were standard equipment.

They seem to be working actually, i think possibly it was just because the light has been poor for the last few days with the low sun so it must think its dusk all day. Indeed they do seem to come on a lot sooner that i would switch them on manually.

Anyway thanks for your replies.
