I notice when I accelerate hard on a level road and especially going up a hill fast, the back wheels spin out.. When I test drove a car and did a fast 0-60, the back tires spun out,. so I assume that this is the way the car handles.. Does anyone else experience this?? 2008 eos luxe.. automatic..

Since the back wheels don't drive the car, they can't "spin-out". What you're probably experiencing is one of the front wheels losing it's traction, cause the other driving wheel to "pull" the car slightly ahead and giving the illusion the that back is spinning out.

I think this is a common problem with all front wheel drive cars that have a lot of torque. I had a Ford Probe '88 that did the same thing. The solution is to feed the power in gently until perhaps 15-20 MPH. After that, I doubt there is enough torque to break a front wheel loose.

OK... Here's how to handle the DSG when you wanna shoot!!!

1) Put in "S" ;)
2) When the lights go green, FLOOR it...
3) Once the car feels like it is going to spin, list foot about half off
4) Once the car starts to accelerate, put foot back to floor!!

I have it to a fine art now! When you get used to it, you can just naturally feel when to lift the foot and then floor it again...

That works really well!
