I have my tom tom installed in the same way. an adhesive mounting plate stuck on the surface underneath the heater controls, The new tom tom has a different style of sucker mount, which folds flat against the back of it. Fits perfectly on the adhesive mount. Out of the way, and right next to the 12v socket, perfect.

decided against another built in nav as previous one was to be honest rubbish. So bought this one for its ease of positioning without using a screen sucka plus it clips out of its holder and still looks good or can be swapped for a mobile holder
