BIG brake pedal

Does anyone else have a problem with the size of the brake pedal and its close proximity to the gas pedal on the automatic? I have had my Eos for about a week and I love everything about it except the fact that I have a size 13EE shoe and I can't count the number of times I have tried to take my foot off the gas and move it to the brake and had my shoe hook on the brake pedal. This is almost dangerous and makes for a pain in the "foot".

Does anyone know if it is possible to get an aftermarket brake pedal for the automatic? I know you can swap out the pedals for performance pedals on the manual but does anyone know if you can do it on the auto?

I just bought a 2007 Eos and the brake pedal is DEFINITELY too close to the accelerator.
Reading this blog I get the impression that it was changed in 2008, but what's a person to do with a 2007?
I think it's unsafe.
I'd buy a replacement brake pedal if there were one available.
Any ideas?
And Dr, Koob, what did you do about the pedal problem? Get used to it like it was suggested here?
I had a trailer hitch installed, and while they were at it I had them look at my brake pedal. They found a clip that held the center console was loose. They tightened it and there's a lot more room for the brake!
