Hi folks,

I really wonder if anybody ever blew a speaker of the 8-speaker standard sound system, not the Dynaudio one. The two incidents happened seperately in a month..

They have changed the two speakers (front right and left) under warranty. But I am quite disappointed of the situation and afraid to have it again. I was already thinking to upgrade it with a Dynaudio system ( although some guys told me it could not be done) or even with a different brand breaking the warranty conditions..

My music listening style has changed a little, not increasing the volume and not using GALA or any bass & treble increments anymore:confused.. Appreciate someone's experiences if any..

Yah I have a base 8 speaker system as well. Thinking of breaking warranty given the "what you have is what you get" dealer comment. However, an after market installer warned me that for smog (california concern) without a special harness adaptor smog testers will not touch it because it can send to much power to their tester and break the testing machine. You have to get your factory reinstalled for smog testing. The after market nav stereo system would run me 2400.00 installed. (thats with the discount) Any better ideas out thier - I'm all ears.
