I am looking for a bluetooth receiver or even a cable that will allow me to connect my android through the ipod dock in my 2007 Eos to play music through the car speakers. I bought one, but it doesn't work in my car. I am guessing that it has something to do with the number of pins or something because the receiver works when I plug it into a boombox I have with an ipod dock.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I too am looking for a similar solution for my 2009 Eos iPod dock/connection kit and iPhone 5. I'd really like to make it work via Bluetooth, preferably just making the dock into the equivalent of an Aux-in. A corded solution would also be intriguing.

I've tried two different Bluetooth adapters, both without success. It seems the car's system wants to mount the iPod or whatever is connected to the dock as a file system rather than just stream audio.

Ultimately, I would like to figure out a solution that would allow me to stream Pandora from my phone through the car's speakers.

Easy solution is a 3.5mm stereo mini-plug from the headphone jack of your phone into the AUX-in jack within the car.

If you do not have an Aux in, you could get a USB to VW connection cable and then use a 3.5mm jack to USB cable easily found on ebay, etc.

Hmm, thank you for clarifying scubaguy. I recently saw a 30-pin (iPod dock) to Bluetooth streaming adapter at Target for about $30 and figured it would work. Good to know that that may not be the solution.

Have you considered something like this? http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-Techn...sr=8-2&keywords=griffin+bluetooth+car+adapter

It plugs into a cigarette adapter and is bluetooth but outputs to 3.5 mm input. Perhaps that would work? Although I don't like the sound quality from AUX-IN … perhaps it would be OK with this?

I believe Scosche (or Scosche) Industries is one of sponsors. They make a lot of auto adaptors. Why not check with them?

Here is what I did when I had an earlier head unit. I since replaced it with an RNS510 and a proper Bluetooth kit. Both those options are a bit more expensive, but they're also better ;)

If you want a pretty, stock option this is what I did. It converts your 30 pin iPod dock into a USB/Blue tooth and AUX input. I actually don’t have the Bluetooth option as it wasn’t available when I purchased the kit but it was self explanatory and I installed it myself within an hour. I fished the wiring between the console to right able the gear shift (the USB and AUX input go in the slots just above the gear shift).

This is the unit that plugs into the iPod dock. https://enfigcarstereo.com/DENSION_GBL3VW1.html

These two are used in the slots just above the gear shift. https://enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_MK5_MK6_SHIFTER_AUX.html

Yes they work with iPhones and androids USB C.
