cannot open boot with key tried in back seat and pulled the lead in there and still will not open and light on dash says that tail lid is open which is not any help


please,how can they open it up ! it looks to me that the lock is stuck cant get in from back seat

Does your key fob open your car doors? The key fob can lose it's "codes" if the unlock button is pressed several times while out of range from the car. There's a procedure in the manual to reset the key fob. I had to do this with my car so it's a good procedure to remember.

Keep us advised as to how you corrected the problem. If it's not the fob problem above or a freezing problem, you will probably have to take it into a dealer. Good luck.

Sounds like it is caught on something..... It is possible that one of the catches is caught (the ones which hold the boot lid to the roof mechanism to allow it to open to stow the roof...

Try and open the roof until the boo tlid opens backwards and then close again. See if that helps.

If the Trunk (boot) light is on then the top will not move. I would suggest pushing down on the trunk to see if it will relatch and turn off the light. Then you can try Simon's idea. If all goes well then try opening the trunk using the trunk release button on the door. If none on this works then it is off to the dealer.....
