Hi all,

Our replacement EOS has arrived but we may choose to sell it and get a Tiguan instead (The dealer ordered us both cars and we have the choice of either):

The Spec is as follows:

2.0 T-FSi,
Deep Black Pearl,
Red Nappa Leather,
18 inch Chicago Alloys,
Dynaudio Sound System,
Standard Headlamps,
Luxury Pack,
Winter Pack,
Multi Function Steering Wheel,
Cruise Control (factory fitted),
Dual Zone Electronic Climate Control.

The price is going to be around £28,500 but there may be a discount.

If any forum members or guests are looking to buy, this car is brand new and potentially available now (imho better to wait until March 1st to get it on a 08 plate).

It's all down to us test driving the Tiguan in a week or two and then making a decision on what we want to do.#

Please get in touch with me if you are interested.

Many thanks,

Hiya Gavin, god u've had a nitemare with your car havent u ?
I am just looking to part exchange my Eos. We decided to buy a puppy and its not really a dog friendly car.
I have been looking at the Tiguan too! Let me know what you think. Whats the wait on them like? Really scared about how much money I have lost on my Eos. And I am so going to miss it.
Hope u make the right choice. Lisa

You lose lots on any car when you sell quite soon but believe the Eos should be better than most. The quoted Resale Values in most guides show very high values for all Eoses.

Lisa we have a dog, when we travel she travels in a Vari kennel. (They use them when dogs go on planes etc) Sits nicely under the wind deflector on the back seat, so no probs. Of course it depends on what sort of dog your getting!!!

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to say thanks for hijacking my thread (only kidding)...

Took the kids to school in the EOS this morning and it was raining rather alot. The second I pulled the key from the ignition and the windows dropped, in came the rain water and lots of it. Then I had to get my coat from the boot and guess what... yep, lots of water pouring into the boot when I opened it.

I love the EOS but it really isn't built for the rainy season is it?!?!

Anyhow, we are going to test drive the Tiguan in a couple of weeks when it lands in the UK. We have already specced one out on paper and the good thing is that the dealer is honouring the full price (before discount) that we paid for the EOS which basically amounts to a Tiguan with the lot.

I'll let you know how we go.

Sorry to see you lost a lot of money.
According to Glass's Guide a March 07 (07) registered Eos 2.0T that cost £23412 new should retail now at £23300 and have a Trade value of £21800. Yours would have cost a lot more of course with that spec but it's a great spec with DSG etc so should be easy to sell on and you should get a good part of the cost of the extras back.

Either the guides are rubbish or your dealer has ripped you off! Dealers will ALWAYS tell you that values aren't making what the guides say and they have to offer what the market will stand. Yet the Guides say they only publish values based on what the market has actually achieved and they don't drive the market but merely reflect it...

Who's kidding who?

Well VW have offered me £23,040 if I buy the Tiguan, I am too scared to sell privately, my husband is a non driver! hates the Eos and is no support! so will be scared to have people test driving etc..! You know what, after driving it today ( to my speed awareness course!) avoiding points! where the instructor informed me his mum has an Eos! I think I might keep it to annoy everyone, how gutted will I be if we have a lovely summer and everyone is topless and I am not ??!! This is SO hard, all cause of bloody puppy!!!!!!!!!!
Puppy is staying and so might the Eos !

How big is the puppy going to get? What kind of dog is it? You know that dogs absolutely love riding in the back of utes with the wind in their hair. I am sure that you dog would be beside him/her self with ectasy riding in the back of the Eos with the roof down. He / she would be one of the "coolest" dogs in the UK:cool: (Maybe put hubby in the back and puppy in the front LOL):D

Husband a non-driver? Hates the Eos?

Have you thought about a divorce? The puppy sounds a lot more fun!

We have a border collie and she takes pride of place on the back seat. A harness & seatbelt clip provide the assurances that she doesn't scarper when the roof is down and she loves it.

My only gripe is that she dribbles a lot, and I have to keep sponging down the Nappa.

The small rear window is also perfect for dogs when the roof is up.

Lisywisyloo, if you start putting the harness (with seatbelt clip as per nail-z-gull) on while he/she is a puppy n let him/her walk around in it and sit in the back of the car now and again without actually going anywhere but clipped in receiving the odd doggy choc at the same time she will soon get used to the idea, then just go for short drives around the block or something you should have no problem when you eventually want to take a longer trip. Alternatively the idea of husband in the back and puppy in the front sounds pretty good to me!

Yeap, hubby in the back and Pup in front sounds good to me ! Will look at seatbelt thingy for her. My only prob is in the winter when she's muddy, bit of a nightmare, divorce is a fantastic option and thought about that every day !
Will buy a harness this weekend, and get her some shades! Will post pics when my 13 yr old shows me how too !
Thanks for all your suggestions.

Post Puppy Photo Please!

Lisywisyloo, please do post a photo of your puppy, preferrably sitting in the Eos. Your puppy would much prefer to be cruising around in an Eos topless rather than in a Tiguan. In fact your puppy would be thrilled to bits going for nice drives in the Eos. :D (I am sure that whilst hubby is not an Eos fan, he must have some redeeming features!)

Hi Gavin

See my post on main forum... I placed an order for a Tiguan yesterday and am trading in my Eos. Test drove the 2.0Tdi Sport Auto.. which I ordered. Surprisingly nippy (although I am not buying it for the fast option - we have the V10 for that!)

I've specced it up massively and am very excited! Build week in unconfirmed as 6 and it may arrive in March :)
