I see that a large percentage of our Canadian members are calling "The East" their home. I was wondering if there are any "Westerners" that frequent the site too?

I was thinking of trying to get together with a few of the West Coasters (BC) or maybe even a few of the West Coasters from the USA...

It is hard being the only one in the area that I know with an Eos. (well, not really THAT hard...) :)

Not sure how this works so hope you get this message. I just got my 2007 eos on Friday Oct. 26. Vehicle came from the states....really impressed with it so far. Previously owned Honda, BMW, Nissan, Toyota....my first car though was a used 1965 vw beetle.

Greetings Canadains

Greetings fellow Canadians from Collingwood. It is a big country but still glad to see fellow Canucks. If any of you are interested in a VW EOS Club license plate plate sticker, please send me a PM and I'll mail you one at no charge. If you are interested in what they look like, there is a picture in a thread on the Canadain section.

Congrats on a Great Car

:D It is a long wait but I can assure you it is worth the attention and smooth ride. You will absolutely love it during the nice summer and spring days. What are the specs?

Mine is 18" alloys , eismeer blue with beige (finicky) leather interior and other items. Can't wait to see another beautiful car on the street. So few here and you will definitely get a few glances and a few questions about your car.
Ciao for now.

csc roof problem

suddenly, after owning my car (2007 eos) for over 4 months I note that the roof has collided with the mechanism ( looks like when putting back up) and peeling off a strip of the fiberglass on the roof near the base of rear passenger window. I have never put anything at all in the trunk where not allowed and have always made sure the car was level before operating the csc roof. Took the car to dealer for warranty and on the third day in shop was told factory rep. would be coming to look at it the next day - went to get rental car I was told I was entitled to after the 2nd day in warranty service and when I arrived I saw car was just being studied with roof stopped half opened in the outdoor compound. When I went to get rental car voucher at dealer service desk, was told....actually, we are returning your car to you. Now I am told photos of the damage to roof were taken and had to be emailed to VW for approval of work....likely body work will be next week. After more than a month I called to see if VW had got back to the dealer ...I left a message for service mgr to call me with info. That didn't happen and when I called again I was told he never got the message I left, however, just by chance he did call VW today and said VW told him that they will not cover repair under warranty as the roof works fine. I have received no paperwork of any kind and when I ask how to appeal this, I am told to read my owner manual to find a phone # for VW Canada.....of course I have no proof that the dealer even reported the problem, no work order #, nothing at all about the warranty claim. Any ideas anyone?

Has this roof issue been resolved?

Just wondering whether the roof issue has been resolved yet. Care to name the dealer?

I am brand new to this forum and a new Eos owner as well. I live in Vancouver and work in Burnaby.

I am hoping on taking delivery of my new Eos this coming weekend and am super excited about it.

Hello, I'm from Maple Ridge, BC. I just bought a 2008 EOS - 2 dr Conv 2.0T - Colour Gray with black leather interior.
I love the car EXCEPT there is a 'tapping' from the right side when I'm idleling (is that how you spell it?) is this normal?
Also, I'm worried about it rolling back on a hill. I've read the other messages and perhaps I should ask about the "xxx Hill Start" that can be added. Am I correct?
bye, Karen

KarenEOS - You just described the EXACT noise that seems to come from under my glove box. I took it in to VW a couple weeks ago (for a scheduled service) and in my paper work they said they couldn't reproduce the noise. I have another appointment next week... We'll see what happens...

And I know this part of the thread was from a long time ago but I would be interested in an EOS get together for the westerners!! It would be nice to be able to go topless for this. I can't wait for winter to be over!! :D
