Hey, I have a 2006 Eos V6. The original dynaudio amp has been water damaged and needs replacing. Just in the dilemma of do I buy the amp or go in the shed and install an aftermarket system with new head unit of course with new wiring ect. Would be using hertz components all round and sub in the boot. I have not heard the dynaudio as has never worked. Anyone replaced dynaudio with aftermarket and thinks it’s sounds better ?

They dynaudio systems I have listened to are pretty good, what sucks is the head unit. If I were you, I would give the dynaudio a shot and look for a amp from a wrecked car. It will be quite a bit cheaper than replacing everything else. The dynaudio system can really benefit from the DSP technology in aftermarket head units

Water isn't always the death sentence for 14 Volt electronics because a lot depends on how long its been there and if bad corrosion has set in? Give it to a High School techi to open up for inspection to have a good look inside before condemning it.
