I've read in a forum that some people have put a baby in the rear center seat of the EOS. I can't seem to find any sites or docs supporting that you can do this. I did come across one site,

http://www.thecarseatlady.com/....html

It could be outdated info though. I didn't find any info in the manual either. We have a baby coming in 3 months and we would hate to get rid of the car because we can't put a baby seat in the rear middle seat. Any info would be appreciated

Thanks,

Scott

Hi

Whilst i see the logic in putting in the middle i think your going to find it quite a pain, as your going to have to move the seat back to get the child in you would have a longer reach to put the child into the middle.

If you want to keep an eye on the baby :) other options is to switch off the front airbag and pop the car seat at the front or put it behind the passanger seat so you can see from your RVM :)

Congrats on the bump :)

The short answer is no you shouldn't use the middle as there is no middle seat in the Eos its a 4 seater and as Cam says its more of a problem to reach.

congrats on the new arrival.

Graham is right.
There are no fixings for anything in the middle so it would be dangerous to put one there. Think the car has the isofix fittings for putting one either side though? Or are those seats already occupied with other sprogs?!

Has anyone found a good car seat to fit in the rear outboard positions??? I find that the seats I've seen are a bit to wide and almost sit straddled ABOVE the bucket part of the seat....not the most secure I think. I did find a backless booster seat for my 5 year old but struggling to find something good for my 13 month old (5 point harness and forward facing) ...pity is she really hasn't been in the car much at all and would like to take her out without having to take my wife's Odyssey all the time.

So...how do those of you w/ wee ones put the child into the carseat? Just putting smaller items in/out with the top up is a slight contortion. Do you put the top down, insert wee one, put the top up?

My wee one is bigger than me and approved of how my new EOS handles. He got to drive it on Saturday.

Rear chid seat alternative

Hi Scott,

Have a look at the products offered by multimac (www.multimac.co.uk). I have the problem (!?) of having 3 kids & have enquired if multimac can help me fit them all in my EOS at once (oldest is only 8 so can't sit in the front yet).

They don't have an EOS sized version yet, but have told me it will be coming out later this year & will cost the same as their current smallest version - £1099. I'll post when I get any more details from them.

I have no affiliation with this crowd, but reckon it is a better option than having to get rid of my beloved EOS :)

Darren,

Can you provide some info on the car booster seat you found that fits the Eos?
We have a 4 year old and all the boosters we have tried dont fit.

Thanks in advance.

I do not know which part of the world you live in - Britax is an Australian company which has been a world leader in child safety restraints for many years and has a full range of products to accommodate new-borns right through to 12 year olds. They have international distributors who can be accessed through the following link:

http://www.britax.com.au/websites/Br...e-CONTACT%20US

The most appropriate product for your 4 year old would be their Nova, Mobility or Horizon booster seat which are designed to be used with a center lap belt - see the following link for more specific information:

http://www.britax.com.au/websites/Britax/HomePage.nsf/LUPages/SnS-BOOSTERS - 14KG TO 26KG

My four adult children and two grandchildren [so far] have used Britax products in cars ranging from a Ford Capri to a Corniche Drophead and my experience with them has exceeded every expectation
