Hi cam you'll be ticking the days off on you fileofax and get like stephb all excited over you New EOS
Well, Cam it's taken you a while but you have made the right decision the Eos is the best cabriolet for the money. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for it to arrive.
Welcome Cam, the time will soon go especially if you keep reading all the goings on here meanwhile, you will pick up lots of tips for when your EOS eventually arrives and the wait is all part of the ownership experience. Remember, as long as its not actually raining you can go 'topless' - we all do!

Are you not finding it a bit chilly at the moment Pat :p Not had my roof down since the meet in Hull!!

It is getting to be absolutely perfect topless weather here in Virginia (USA). I agree that just about any day that is not raining is a topless day! Even on days that seem to be "too cold" the heated seats on 5 seem to do the trick. I think VW did a great job with the angle of the windshield as it keeps the turbulence down in the cabin. I haven't tried the windscreen that came with the car yet, but might just out of curiosity. Enjoy!
thanks guys, yes i guess its going to be a little cold and wet but with all that rain i am sure to spot any leaks :) and with the luggage i am planning a trip to the south of france early next year.

I have a count down on my laptop which tells me how long i need to wait but i guess end of october the real exciting time will happen as i have to wait for it to be shipped :)

No Steph, top still down every time we go out or Gary goes to work, as long as its not raining.
Have a good time on holiday, we off too next week to Las Vegas - can't wait.

Darren, 'bug catcher' up, wind deflector in situ, and not a hair out of place as you cruise along (well Gary wouldn't, if he had hair that is), Give it a try, you will be suprised. Wish we could look forward to your beautiful Fall colours, all we have at the moment is rain dripping off the sodden leaves!

That's the only thing Gary is worrying about leaving! But at 38 degs. (Todays temperature) he said it would be too hot to take her! Think he is going to put a blanket over the bonnet to keep it warm while we are away! Mind you if we win a hotel jackpot while we are there we will send for her to come out.
Good choice. The common rail TDI is a big improvement over the PD unit in terms of noise & refinement, although it's a pity they didn't give the Eos the 170hp unit, since IMHO 140hp is only just enough.
