Has anyone put the whole outfit on their Eos yet? It would cost £1,245 for parts and god only knows labour costs, but I think it looks really smart.

I know there is an Eos for sale on the VW website with the full body kit going for £28k - will the body kit necessarily take away from the sell on price?

Also while I'm here, has anybody considered adding this lovely chrome strip to their Eos?

I'm a fan of those eyelid pieces that go over the headlights on some of the kits. Anyone know where to get just those?

Hi Darren

I'll check with my workshop where they got them for my EOS. Think they came together with the Caractere Kit.

If I want my car for the rest of its' life then I might be willing to spend stupid amounts making it look cool etc etc but as I'm only 26 I get a feeling spending those amounts on a car would be a bit pointless... :( no doubt I will sell the car when I settle down and have a million children?!

HAha, car modding in SGP is quite common. I have some friends who spend easily the same amt or more than the price of the car itself! And, car price in SG is considered ridiculously priced.

Well, it really boils down to interest. For myself, I usually keep the ride for 5yrs (minimum). Its always a pleasure to drive a done-up car vs stock. Well, since I'm gonna spend 120+K on the car, additional 10-15k to get the most out of it is considered a bargain.

I think it's looked upon as a mid-life crisis or a teenage first car kinda phase that you go through over in the UK. To be 26 and driving around in a done up car might get me a few odd looks! I would love to do it but saving up for holidays/rainy days/wedding days (don't tell Gary though! lol ;) ) I probably won't do it until my own mid-life crisis sets in! lol

This car IS my mid-life crisis (oh well okay a little bit late) and I think I will love it just as it is!

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

Age [and availability of spare cash] seem to be the main determinants for changing the original appearance of a vehicle - went through this phase myself in my younger days :D .

Not my cup of tea

When I see cars with body mods the pieces seem to vibrate and in most cases are near falling off. Seldom do they color match well. In just about every case they appear to reduce the value of the car. Makes it appear the owner couldn't afford a car looking this way from the showroom so mods were needed in the hope of impressing others. EOS is way too nice a car for that and it impresses well on its own. I'm game for rims, wider tires and sport lowered suspension however. Yup I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

There were a couple of chaps on the old CC forum who added the body kits and they did look good. I suppose its a matter of creating something that different from the norm (Individual !!). They also did up the sound systems and having a 15" sub where the spare would go was interesting (and loud).

It must also be a matter of image but seeing that I'm in the car, it wouldn't be for my benefit. Also being bald, spreading and 40, image isn't my priority.

At £2000 its not a bad price compared to other accessories for the EOS. I suspect its a bit more with painting. Unfortunately, all my money gets used up by the wife & kids !!!

In saying that, the car does look good in the body kit....

Lucari, I could not have put it better myself.

That is just the way I am lol, apart from the fact that my wife has a better car than myself.

She is swanning around in a Cayenne Turbo S, and she maons when I spend £300 quid on some forge stainless brake hoses, nice to know we are all in the same boat.LOL

The EOS is setup for my wife. So technically is still "money spent on wife and kids". Its her Christmas and Birthday present rolled into one. Considering the amount spent on my Subaru, the amount spent on EOS is very reasonable.

I have been guilty in the past of adding extras to my cars to make them look a bit different,I also taught people to drive in the Mini and the Grande Punto.

I will not be teaching people in my Eos and I will not be putting any kit on it,mainly because I'm 50 now,I've gone through my boy racer bit and I'm quite happy with how the eos looks without any additional kit.

My Eos has now inherited my reg no,it is the 4th vehicle to have this no.
