Look for your local Halfords Store - they do repairs at most of their outlets!

Alloy Wheel refurbishment

I didn't try Halfords, The Chips company do not operate in my part of the world, Chichester; but they did put me in contact with a Company called Wheels Approved (www.wheelsapproved.co.uk) who operate from a village near Woking at cost of £65 per wheel. His workshops open late on thursdays and tuesday so I'm dropping off the wheel this week. He is fitting the car with a similar wheel so that I can drive. I'll let you know how I get on.

Hi and welcome to the site. Hope all goes well with the repair, the fact that the guy is giving you a spare wheel to keep you going is a very good sign and good for customer service. We have used a local guy in the past and the job is first class however you either have to have your own spare wheels or leave the car. Not strange to see the likes of Sports cars and SUVs on axel stands for days at a time at his place.

I saw a new set of 4 Chicago's with Tyres on ebay last month. £575 - you'd be hard pushed to get a set of replacement tyres for that, and if you damage a wheel you can simply replace it.

Didn't really have the money - but was tempted to buy them and store them in the garage...
