Has anyone in the UK successfully had a Chicago wheel repaired? I have tried several wheel repair companies but they wont touch the chicago because of the unique finish. I even asked at my VW dealer and they said the only answer was a new wheel.

If only it were that simple. I've already been down that route. They all say they can refurb the wheel for about £50 - £60 until they see it in the flesh.

If the local VW dealer has a bodyshop, have you tried asking them? Had a similar problem when I had my last car and the bodyshop sorted it for me.

Chicago Wheel fix

I put this on the web last year after I had my wheel fixed.

An update on the fix of a damaged Chicago wheel. I took the wheel to Wheels Approved www.wheelsapproved.co.uk who have done a reallty good job at the cost of £65 + vat; they also straighten damaged rims for £40.

He will also lone a wheel whilst yours is being fixed 4/5 days.

Ask for Dan,

I seen someone the other day called scratch fix or something like that i got him to take a look at my wheels even though they aren't scuffed or anything he said he couldnt touch them as they are diamond cut but he knows of someone that would do it for £85 a wheel!

needless to say ive been looking at chrome ones for summer and my chicago's for winter :)
