Chrome Mirror Covers

I just purchased the Chrome Mirror covers (though they actually replace the colored ones that come with the car) from local dealer.

Does anyone know how to remove the actual mirror from the mount inside the rear fold in assembly?

Has anyone installed same?

Only person I know that did the chrome thing was Schoolhouse Fred but hes has been offline for a while now. You could try a PM to him.
