patience

I have another 10 weeks to wait for my 2 litre diesel shadow blue cream interior beautiful new Eos. Sigh! My Passat has just passed 150,000 miles and is to be retired to my husband! I can hardly wait...

Welcome CIB. Hope your getting plenty of useful info before you take charge of you new EOS. I notice that you are having a cream interior - is that leather - as there are quite a few posts regarding the tranferrring of colour (jeans by the most part) onto the seats - you may want to check that out.

I have to believe the fade issue when it does occurs may have more to do with body chemistrythan the seat covering. I wear denim ( Blue jeans) and I haven't encountered any problems after two and a half years. BTW CIB how can you be so patient. When we ordered ours it was July and it was October when it arrived and we were quite anxious about its arrival. Anyway, enjoy it when it comes. The car is extreme fun.

I have been out and about today - into London and back to Kent - not an Eos in sight. I like the idea that it's exclusive-ish!
I am only JUST patient! My desktop has an Eos picture, I look at pictures of them online, read articles online, and I keep peeking at the brochure - and boring my family, who all wonder if I will actually allow anyone else in it when it comes.

I did wonder about that - but common sense did not rule and I have gone for what I wanted.

Hi CIB,

I'm also waiting for mine to be built. It should arrive sometime in April. I've got a framed drawing of an Eos on my desk and I've just bought a 1:43 scale model (black) from Italy. I think I also have bored by family and friends as they all seem to avoid the subject of my new car.

Still, once its arrives, I won't care.

Yes, I scoured that section looking for pictures of a Shadow Blue Eos - not many there but I found a good one on some site that I now have as my wallpaper. Every time I open my computer there it is and I feel very excited. After literally weeks of indecision over colour (weeeeeeeeks) I hope that I have made the right choice (went from black to grey to blue and back again a thousand times!)I have had a silver Passat so wanted something different. Ten weeks to go!

Hey CIB can I say you must have been extremely lucky not to see an Eos in Kent or London! I live in Kent and know where two other Eos's live within a 5 mile radius! Also see lots when in London as I work there and my other half is constantly spotting them!

Sigh! I thought I was the only one!!! I do like the idea though of waving at other Eoses (?) - my first ever car was a Beetle and back then, a thousand years ago, Beetle owners waved to each other when driving past. Things were slower then of course!

I was so excited waiting for mine to arrive I can sympathise but wait is well worth it, I have an excellent releationship with my dealer and every time my rascal progressed another stage they would call me, I knew when the order was scheduled for build (approximately 4 weeks after placing order), when it was built, painted and finished, nearly there... when it was ready for shipping and at which port and finally when i could collect.

Wow - I shall phone the dealer tomorrow and tell him what I expect from now on!! I am now getting so excited I think I am going to remove the photo from my laptop wallpaper - every time I open it I get more impatient! Having read all these messages on this forum, I realise that I am going to become a bit obsessed with this car and start buying extras for it. Oh dear!

Haven't the Government banned Getting Excited? I'm sure I read about it in the Sunday papers...

Did they really ban it instead of putting a tax on it? :D .

Think neh is right there silvershadow - its breathing that are thinking of putting a tax on!
Gary
I overheard my sons and husband muttering, 'She'll probably charge us for permission to breathe in this Eos.' (Good idea though I might not let them in it at all!)
