Hi All.
Just got myself one of these Eos contraptions. Upon wanting to open the roof the error message on the dash reads 'Close sliding roof'. The sunroof itself does work either. Non of the windows go down upon pressing in the centre console switch, but will all go up if they are down(by using door mounted switches).

The pump(boot) has been tested, as have the centre console sunroof switch, the 40A fuse. All are ok

Been looking for ages on this forum for direction for a solution

Can anyone help?

Also is there somewhere that I can find the location of the countless sensors on these things?

Thanks in advance

Before you start looking for sensors and messing with them you need info from the car telling you what 'might' be wrong. The dash error is very basic. Your car is probably a bit of a lemon at the mo. and could have more than one issue. The EOS doesn't usually have problems with sensors. The roof gets locked out because sensors often tell the truth and stop the roof from being damaged and unrepairable.

Solutions can be many and variable. Read about diagnostic tools that work for the EOS roof - OBDeleven/vcds or other. After doing your own scan you can post the results and get more specific help?

If you have had some parts tested and a scan hasn't been done, you shouldn't have too much confidence in the work or what you may have been told, because a diagnostics scan is the first thing to do on these modern complex cars.

Step 1 might be to "train" the windows where top and bottom is....it sounds like they can't all go up and down when commanded by the roof module. which is the same signal as is given by the large button (which does all windows simultaneously).

Thank you for your reply. I intend to get a scanner plugged into it over the weekend. Hopefully nothing too horrific. I have also got a donor car, so the parts that do not have to be re-coded can be done in the meantime. Will keep you updated
