has anyone put in a cold air intake on a 2.0t? i can't find one anywhere, just wondering if there is even one out there.

I put the carbonio one on from apr. a bit noisier than the stock one but performance is good. Hard to know exactly what performance difference is besides what apr tell you as i put it and the ECU upgrade on at the same time. Very happy with the result heaps more power top & bottom end, less throttle lag & much more fun :D

I'd have to give the nod to the Carbonio one, as it's a true cold air intake, drawing air directly in from outside. There's several different manufacturers of designs similar to the other intake. I'm dubious just how leak-free that boxed- off section is, and would hot engine air get in.

I'm not sure how beneficial either one is on a turbo motor, even one that has a mild tune.

I installed a K&N model Typhoon series. Easy job. You simply remove the existing factory air filter and leave the engine cover as is. K&N does a great job of making sure everything lines up. Mounting bolts and adapters are all included. I got mine off amazon and have put 5K on since. Noticeably throaty sound and mild performance improvement, plus air filter cleaning doesn't require that engine cove remove that is a pain! Here the link:

i put a k&N one in and i do notice better performance and better MPG...here is a photo. Will eventually do an APR tune as well just not right now hubster just bought a Dodge Charger so dont want to break the bank right now!!
