What is it? Under the floor in the trunk, you will find the spare. Between you and the spare is a rubber covered plastic bottle. Any one know what it is?

Isn't this the motor for the roof?

It may be, it is so concealed it is hard to tell. I first thought it was a bottle of fluid. May be a motor. I think I read there were 8 electric motors, they have to be somewhere.

Hi,

Except for the glass sunroof, the rest of the roof mechanism is Hydraulic....

That container you have found is the hydraulic fluid reservoir and fluid pump...

It has a complex set of valves to send the fluid to the 8 hydraulic rams at the right time!

Thanks, I felt like fluid was in it , but it is so well covered and stable I could not really be sure.
I figured mine had tail light washers .

You wouldn't want to wash anything with that fluid, trust me!
