Convertible Top 2009 EOS Working Again

Happy to report that my mechanic found the problem with my convertible top, apparently after years of one little wire twisting back-and-forth around the hinges from opening and closing broke, called me yesterday and said your car is ready to go in the top works. I am a happy camper. They had the car for the week and also serviced it and only charged me $383 which I thought was very reasonable.

Great it was a simple fix that could be done by a regular garage. The flap opening and closing is part of the roof sensing system. The flap wires are strong but have plastic end fasteners. They can break (usually at the hinge) if the flap itself sticks and the roof opens or closes on it. They should have checked the flap cover centering both sides to make sure they open and close without sticking during roof operations.
