Greetings all!
I'm a new Eos owner, having just bought mine back in March. It is a 2010 Lux. I've been thrilled so far, but a recent trip has me concerned about a potential problem. This week I drove my Eos from Indiana to Florida, a journey of approximately 1100 miles. Fuel economy was spectacular given the EPA ratings (I saw an average of 34mpg). That being said, on I-75 just north of Tampa I was caught in an hour long traffic jam due to a crashed semi trailer. During that hour I had to pull over twice and shut off my car for roughly 20 minutes because the coolant temperature alarm came on two times. The ambient temperature was about 92 degrees Fahrenheit. Once traffic got moving again I rejoined the flow and the issue resolved itself, so I thought it might be a one-time issue. However the next day I witnessed the same problem while sitting in a drive thru line for only 5 minutes. Manual advises that coolant level could be low (it isn't), or there could be a problem with the radiator fan. Has anyone experienced this problem, and know of a resolution? Thanks for your help!
