I purchased my Eos in June of 2007. Starting on October 23rd, I have experienced my Eos being completely DEAD. After being parked in my garage for a period of a few days (between 3 - 5), my Eos was totally dead. I am now on my 4th repair for this problem. I am thinking of evoking my "Lemon Law" rights. Has anyone else experienced this, or a similar problem?

I have had my Eos parked for 2 weeks at a time while traveling never any problem with electrical when I fire it up after being parked and not driven.

The Eos 2.0T has a HUGE battery under the hood - I assume VW did this to compensate for the small continuous current drain that various Can-Bus modules use that stay active use even when the car is off and key is out.

Hope can figure this out. I think it has to be a lamp that is on somewhere on your Eos. If I were troubleshooting this I would check the following things:

- is glovebox light staying on even with glovebox door closed?
- is trunk light staying on even with trunk door closed?

Do you by any chance have the Sat Nav system? If so, I heve heard that there have been issues with it leaking a lot more current than it is supposed to and completely draining the battery in a couple of days......

If you do have that, then it is worth investigating.. Also, you may just have a dud battery..... If you don't have SatNav, then insist they supply a new battery..... This will be cheap for them and will show up if there is really a problem..

Also, do you do mainly very short journeys? If so, that can also be the problem. You must go on some long runs to ensure the battery gets fully charged..

I only use my car at weekends and I take it for a motorway run each weekend...

I never have trouble starting it even when unused all week...

I have the 2.0T..
