Dent Doctor

Came out of the supermarket last Tuesday and noticed that some inconsiderate pig had left his calling card in my drivers door, To say I was not a happy bunny is an underrated statement, I don't usually swear but I now owe the local swear box a few notes.

Anyway this dent, although not all that big (about 20mm in dia) was really bugging me so hubby suggested we look on the web to see if there was a Dent Doctor in our area, and lo and behold there is one just 4 miles down the road in Enderby. So rang them up this morning and he said bring the car straight over and he will have a look.
Well I was very nervous and tried to talk the other half out of going as I was really concerned that it would only make maters worse.

Still we arrived at just before 11:00-am and by 11:15 the door was a good as new and I swear you would never know there had ever been a dent in the door, this man is now my ultimate hero.

No stripping the door furniture down, only a bent piece of rod shoved down the window opening and a lot of skill.

Cost £40 quid.

The guy is certainly on my Christmas card list

I'm now a very Happy Bunny again.:D :D

I went into Halfrauds the other day to see how much it would cost to get a dent removed from my passenger door you cant even see it and have to look really hard for it i was quoted £145!!!

I said he was having a laugh and i'll suck it out with my hoover for that price!

There is no damage to the paint its just a slight dent. He said it was a standard price because they have to respray the door (dont talk through your backside mr!) needless to say its still there and halfrauds can jog on.

p.s if i found out who did it to my door i would do more than put superglue in the locks they would need the dent doctor too for every panel!! :)
Revenge is sweet I suppose, but if you get caught the police are going to bust you worse than the person who caused your rage. Best to get whatever info you can and turn it in to the authorities if you can. I usually let my insurance company go after the person, after all that it part of what I pay them for.

Unfortunately, for a few hundred pounds worth of dent fixing, it really isn't worth turning this over to the insurance company (in this country anyway). I say take revenge in any way you can, just don't get caught :D

Paint stripper on their car is good, sand in the petrol tank, dog poo on the door handles all tried and tested by friends of mine!! Look out for CCTV cameras and other people before taking your revenge though!! :) :D

Take a look at the first message in this thread, the company I used was called Dent-Technique and it cost £40:00. No dismantling and no re-spray, no can see.

There are other franchises out there who all do the same thing (paint-less dent removal) and I bet there is one near you.
Don't be put off just because some school leaver in Halfrauds is talking out of his orifice!!

Trouble is, the authorities really aren't interested. They're FAR too busy catching people doing 31 mph in a 30 limit (NOT those doing 50/60 mind - they never seem to get caught)! No wonder people take the law into their own hands. It's the innocent who get all the hassle over here.

result dont need one now as snobbers was booked into vw i mentioned it to the guy this morning when he picked it up.

when i collected my car i was inspecting it and noticed a dent on the passenger door but then lost it coz the sun went in and it was noted and now i've found it again vw will get it out for free :D

I too find my eos attracts twits who park next to it.(how dare they in their inferior vehicles!) It is not unknown to spend 15 mins looking for the perfect spot! (I am sad!), not too narrow a bay, nowhere near a 4x4! no child seats in car next to me.(I of course carry one at all times, with or without a child) preferably clear space either side. Will even move spaces if not quite happy!! So why is there always one of the above undesirables always parked next to me on my return? Found the perfect solution at the supermarket today...........Parked next to another Eos!!!!! Never done it before what a thrill. Had a good look at their "kit" before I left tho (don't suppose they even noticed when they returned) I am getting some quite strange looks waving at fellow Eos drivers:rolleyes:
