The DSG is an option I would have liked to have but just could not afford the extra. The vid showing it working looks sweet.
Thanks for the link(s)

cheers

I was adamant I wanted the DSG on my TDi sport, as I heard it was so good and now Im so glad I waited the 9 months to get it. Along with the cruise control and paddle shifters the car is a dream to drive in what ever combination takes my fancy. Anyone who is at the ordering stage and just thinking wether to order the DSG or not, do it, you wont be disappointed ! Another extra I ordered was the cruise control and in this ever stricter world of speed camera money generators we now find ourselves in ,its another worthwhile extra, it does keep me within the speed limits most of the time and keep my licence nice and clean and my journeys are so much more relaxing now !
Happy EDAs you lot !

That's just made me wonder if we could start a thread listing extras that we love and ones we feel we could have saved money by not having them.

i luv-1) DSG 2) xenons 3)MFD stearing wheel 4) leather seats 5) lux pack 6) chicago alloys.

Should not have bothered with 1)Cruise control 20 paddle shift
diesappointed with( but would still have them) ipod connection, satnav

Yup, my spec as well. The salesman said there's an overspeed warning you can set as well which I think would be useful for speed cameras etc.

I was thinking of only activating it in camera areas or perhaps more usefully in SPECS covered roads.

I see on Fifth Gear yesterday the delightful VBH got the S-tronic TT round the Rockingham circuit a fraction faster than the manual.

Yep, the only extra I really regret not ticking is the cruise control! Especially having just covered 1500 miles of French autoroute driving. Had it before, now on my list of 'definite' extras in future for all the reasons Der mentions.

It can be retro-fitted for £150 and you can't tell the difference between that and Original Equipment.
