Dear fellow EOS lovers...
My dealer showed me how to bring all windows down when turning the key and leaving it that way inside the driver's lock (not sure how useful that is...), and how to ensure the doors lock automatically when starting to drive (rather than having to press the lock button manually). However, he seemed to discover that it was impossible to program the car, so that one could control windows opening or closing from a distance (which could be cool to let ome fresh air inside the car for instance, before stepping in and opening the roof)... He said this wa feasible on the 2007 series but apparently not on the 08 version which I now produly own for 3 weeks...

Any clue?

PS: it's friday evening, just bout to go for a ride in sunny Alps, in my all new black/red leather EOS.....

I was able to have a service guy program my 07 so that if you press the unlock button twice and hold it will lower all the windows (for $20- cash). Not sure how, but he had the computer hooked up and it works well. Salesman told me they don't want them to program it because it lessens the difference between VW and Audi features. Draw your own conclusions. Kind of cool but haven't used ut except to show people.
Enjoy your new Eos. Mark

I've had a guy plug in the computer to my Eos, and if press and hold down the lock-button, all windows will close, and with the unlock button the windows will open.
Unfortunantly we could get the sunroof to participate as well:( And this was all with the standard programmering of the car.

So it is possible ! And my car is a '06-model

Hi Guys,

This is a point that I have been discussing with my dealer and VW Tech for some weeks now and the result is this......

The feature that you are referring to is total closure / global closure. This has been disabled on all 08 chassis EOS's for some reason (probably safety they think).

The way to tell if you have the 08 chassis is to look at the chassis number. If there is an 8 in the middle it's an 08. If there is a 7 then it's an 07.

Hope this helps.

thanks
Fred
