According to UK weekly magazine 'Auto Express' the 10 best cars for depreciation in their first year in the UK are as follows:

1) Ferrari F430 - loses 0.0%
2) Audi TT Coupe - loses 5.8%
3) VW Eos - loses 6.0%
4) Porsche Cayman - loses 7.1%
5) Lamborghini Gallardo - loses 8.3%
6) Lamborghini Murcielago - loses 10.1%
7) Aston Martin V8 Vantage - loses 10.3%
8) Mini - loses 10.4%
9) Porsche 911 Carrera - loses 10.9%
10) Bentley Continental - loses 11.2%

Not bad for the humble Eos eh? So if any dealer tries to rip you off quote him the above figures!

For the record the worst car (Proton Impian) lost 53.9% of its value in the first year - tell that to the flat-hatted pub bore when he's telling you how marvellous his new Impian is!

Nice set of information, as you say when time comes to trade in. Hopefully it will stay similar in years 2-4 that would be brilliant!

Cheers and glad to say did not buy a Proton.
