Frivolous this may be - but I have to think of things to keep my patience - what music did you first play when you got your first Eos??
It's eight weeks and counting.

I cranked up Rockstar by Nickleback, just sort of fitted the moment, although im more of a soul, hip hop and rnb fan myself.

Thanks Rob (what are forge hoses????).
I think - if anyone else replies - that I'll make a list and make sure they're on my i-pod for that first journey! Come on everyone - suggest some music!

Huge Josh Groban fan here! I also like Allison Krauss, Sarah McLachlan, and My (5yo ) daughter LOVES to sing Carrie Underwood's "Before he cheats" at the top of her lungs. She calls her "angry girl".

Did you get Dynaudio?

It depends on your taste, really... but the best Eos music is by far all the music made by Dave Matthews Band.

Its incredible to drive to.

Also, if it fits your music likings, a great album to drive to is Changes by A Crusive Memory.

"Wonderful Land" by Mike Oldfield [1980].

The original version was by The Shadows:

another worth considering is the "Arrival" cover version by Mike Oldfield [1980] of the ABBA original:

What age group are you? This will help in suggesting music appropriate to your era. Now to look for some car and/or driving themed music.

This is really good! Please keep them coming.
I am of the generation that saw Queen live in 1979 in Birmingham and in 1986 at Wembley (so the Eos really is - as my husband announced - my late-mid-life-crisis). Last year I went to see Alison Krauss and Robert Plant. That gives a broad span. I LOVE Nickelback. I like Laura Cantrell, the White Stripes, Black Crows, Sibelius, Mozart a bit ...
I am going to phone the dealer today to see if we have an actual date of delivery yet. Some hope!

The only ones of those I've even heard of are Sibelius and Mozart!! Personally my favourites are Mahler, Rachmaninov, Gershwin and Dvorak, although I love 60s music and a selected (very) few more modern bands plus most jazz!

Anything by the Kings of Leon, Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison, Hippy Hippy Shake by The Georgia Satellites.

Anything with heavy bass - Pure Bassline for example, anything by Nickelback - always good to sing along to at the top of your lungs.

Basically so long as you are in your Eos with the top off it doesn't matter what you play so long as it is loud and proud and gets people looking in my opinion!

Back to the original question: I played some Mozart for my first roof down journey, and a mix of Amy Winehouse and then the original soundtrack from the movie DeathProof on my way back home from the dealer (roof up).

For those unfortunate owners with leaks, how about "Singing in the Rain" by Gene Kelly. For those with creaks & squeaks in their roof, how about "The Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkle.
For those with alarm problems, "The Bells are Ringing for Me & My Gal."
Specialy for DLG, "This Could be the Last Time" by the Stones.
For myself - despite my oil leaks - "Life Could not Better Be" by Danny Kaye.
Personal favourite, whether driving or not, "Home thoughts from Abroad" by Clifford T. Ward.

Thanks guys - not only is this giving me a great selection for that coming-ever-closer-day, it's also cheering me up - my husband had back surgery this morning (which went well), but I've just left him at the hospital ... sigh!

Now THAT made me smile! I think I'll probably start with Nickelback - thanks to those who mentioned them cos I'd forgotten about them! Rang my dealer - down to 6/7 weeks now ... I won't hold my breath (AND I am hoping against hope that I didn't speed through a camera on the A20 today - yes there was a time in the day when that was possible)
