Today while driving down motorway heard a wack.
Pulled off at next exit found 2 inch gash in the side of my tyre wall.
On the Eos Sport models are they run flat tyres, I have a flat tyre indicator on my dash.
Also how much do you reckon to replace.
I have just done 7000 miles and the tyre was half worn out anyway.

I believe it's a tyre pressure warning light - not a 'run flat'. It'll tell you if you have a slow puncture.

As for price - depends on the tyre. The tyres to fit the 18" chicagos are around £160 each. I've started saving already...

According to book. Only eos with run flats have flat tyre indicator.
Hi Laura,
In France we get tyre pressure monitors to warn of low pressure or even sudden loss of pressure. But the tyres are not run flats. The latest tyres have better bead retention to stop the tyre coming off the rim.
Mine has Pirelli Rosso P-Zeros. I wasn't aware that any EOS had run flats but prepared to be told I'm wrong.
I hope for your sake their not, as they could be pretty expensive cmpared to normal tyres.

Lucky you were able to make it to the next exit with a 2" gash.

Jim.

The same here in Australia.

Conventional tires and ABS sensor based tire pressure indicators.

Start saving - I took a thorn out of the shoulder of oe of ours - 17" Bridgestones and it cost £160!

Beware - the tyres on the car may be overspecified (ours are) - see thread in Tires and Wheels. We got the XL tyre to match for the price of the "non" XL.

It's just a tyre pressure warning light to warn you if the pressure is down on any of the 4 tyres; it's up to you to find out which.. My Sport doesn't have run-flats and as far as I know they're not an option on any Eos.

I've just had 2 front tyres replaced (mine are 235/45R17 Bridgestones) at £97.98 plus VAT each (17 inchers of course).

Tyre pressures

And another thing - once you've had any tyre off you have to reset the warning system yourself by making sure all 4 pressures are correct then pressing the button for 2/3 seconds otherwise every time you switch the ignition on you will get an amber exclamation mark in the rev counter!
