I received via US Mail a cardboard cylindrical package today from VW. I thought "great, they are sending me a complementry bottle of Krytox to lube all the seals" saving me $45. To my surprise, it was a Eos sun tea kit. It has plastic cup and lid and several tea bags with instructions on lowing the roof and driving around with the tea brewing. How thoughtful of VW, huh?
Has anyone else received this special gift?

When I got mine, I thought "what a silly gift". I would much rather they sent me DVD on how to lube the seals...and a bottle of krytox would have been nice too. The would only have to send out enough for one application.

Received my sun tea today, also. They must have money to burn before the end of the year. Interestingly the outside of the package was stated as containing "time sensitive material". Does that mean it won't last 'til spring?

Hey BLK EOS or anyone else who received a sun tea kit...

When did you buy your Eos? I would assume that is a first in, first out deal. I picked up my Eos on Nov 9th and so far, haven't received a sun kit.

When we saw the picture of one of these kits in the VW brochure, my wife thought it looked like a urine cup. That seemed like a good option to me for those times when it's hard to find a pit stop.

Got the tea this week. We have had the car less than a month. It snowed all day 20 mph winds with gust up to 50 mph. Wind warning tonight. No tea for me.I guess it is a cute idea, kind a like the flower vase in the bug. Never got it with any other car

They could use the money to upkeep all our seals once a year.

Got my Eos late August. Kit arrived last week.

Yes it looks very much like a urine sample. Especially with the lable removed from the container. Just the same... with a little chill its not bad tea. You get a few bags in the kit. So far I've had two, ones currently brewing and I think I have two left to go. Green tea - good healty stuff if you can get past the urine appearance.

I work at a company that has manditory pee tasting. It must confuse the heck out of my coworkers when they see me enjoying my chilled tea. Ha!

Got mine in the mail early December. I bought my EOS in August, 2007. I've been just making the tea using hot water. It's been too cold for sun tea in Colorado.
