Has anyone had their windows tinted and if so, did the tint go all the way to the top of all 4 windows?

I had mine done recently and the 2 small back windows have about a 1/2" gap from the tint to the top of the window. I don't like how it looks! :( I was told it might curl if they go all the way but I'm not believing it. I might be going elsewhere to have it re-done.

Any input is appreciated! Thanks all! :)

I've had mine tinted for a bit over a year. My tint film goes nearly to the edge. Maybe 1mm or 1.5mm. When windows are up that gap is well covered. Heck, it's so small actually when the windows are slightly down and the edges are in plain view it's hard to tell there is a gap. You have to be looking pretty close to see that 1mm.

Once the film adheres and is thoroughly dry there should be no problem.

A half inch is nowhere near acceptable.

Tinting review

I had our MY12 windows tinted earlier this summer. :)

Shop does a good, slow, professional job. He was concerned with the way the windows go up shortly after the doors close and go down when opening. Couldn't get a good measurement or fit with this movement.

So he disconnected the battery when the windows were up full. His fit is very close to the top edge.

I put this type of 'fitment' down to personal care and professional attitude. Space at the top could be the result of slack care or fudging with the up/down action of the window. Sad if the space is visible. :(

MY is the abbreviation for Manufacturing Year.
My EOS was manufactured on June 25, 2007, which was the first week of the manufacturing year 2008, ie MY08.

Back to window tinting, I had tinting installed prior to delivery and the tint covered the whole window up to 1mm from the glass edges.
After 6 years of the windows moving 1cm up and down each time you open or unlock the doors, there is some wear on the tint where it rubs against the rubber seals.
It is only noticeable with the doors open and the windows up.

I just took delivery of a 2016 White EOS. I noticed here in AZ, the windows were not tinted. I guess another $400 as it will have to be done to keep the HOT sun out. I just paid $480. for back up sensors.
I hope I like this car.
